How to setup Dell OMSA tools on Ubuntu/Zentyal Linux
- Setup Dell OMSA repository
- Ubuntu 12.04 Precise
# echo "deb http://linux.dell.com/repo/community/ubuntu precise openmanage" > /etc/apt/sources.list.d/dell-omsa.list
- Ubuntu 14.04 Precise
# echo "deb http://linux.dell.com/repo/community/ubuntu trusty openmanage" > /etc/apt/sources.list.d/dell-omsa.list
- Add the keys
# gpg --keyserver pool.sks-keyservers.net --recv-key 1285491434D8786F # gpg -a --export 1285491434D8786F | sudo apt-key add - # apt-get update
- Install OMSA/racadm tools
# apt-get -y install srvadmin-all

- Install OMSA/racadm tools

- Extract the Firmware update

- Export the installation path
# export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/opt/dell/esm/
- Apply the upgrade
# /opt/dell/esm/l64/bmcfwul -i=/opt/dell/esm/payload/firmimg.d7

- Get a report from remote
# dset -u root -s <ip_of_idrac>
- Get full report locally - LINUX
# dellsysteminfo -d hw,st,sw,lg,ad
- Get full report locally - WINDOWS
> DellSystemInof.exe -d "hw,st,sw,lg,ad"
